Vessel Accountant – Maritime Finance

About the role

Join a dynamic vessel accounting team responsible for managing the financial operations of a fleet. You will ensure accurate bookkeeping, compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and support the financial reporting needs of vessel owners and management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger processes for assigned vessels.
• Review and validate vessel‑related expenses and staff expense claims.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for third‑party owners and internal management.
• Enter invoice data, including intercompany transactions, and maintain accurate financial records.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and process supplier payments in multiple currencies.
• Handle ad‑hoc payment requests and ensure timely payment processing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accountancy or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the maritime or logistics sector.
• Familiarity with ship‑management accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across departments.
