Vessel Operator – Dry Bulk Commercial Operations

About the role

Adhart Shipping is seeking a Vessel Operator to manage commercial operations for its dry‑bulk fleet worldwide. The role focuses on optimizing voyages, handling freight/payables, and ensuring safe, profitable vessel performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial operations for owned and third‑party dry‑bulk vessels.
• Oversee post‑fixture activities including freight/hire payables, receivables, laytime calculations and performance reviews.
• Optimize voyage planning to maximize revenue and coordinate bunker procurement.
• Update voyage data on the IMOS digital platform and produce routine commercial performance reports.
• Liaise with agents, charterers, owners and other external parties to expedite voyages.
• Review Port Disbursement Accounts and handle related invoices, insurance and claim matters.
• Provide administrative support to the team leader as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Maritime, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial operations for bulk carriers (2 years may be considered).
• Strong administrative, planning and implementation abilities.
• Excellent written English for communication with external stakeholders.
