Vice President, Communications & Brand Experience (APAC)

About the role

ING Wholesale Banking is seeking a senior communications leader to shape and deliver its external messaging across the Asia‑Pacific region. Based in Singapore, you will guide the Communications & Brand Experience team and ensure the bank’s story resonates with media, clients and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets and PR agencies; pitch stories and secure coverage.
• Develop and execute a regional strategic communications plan, including key messaging and senior‑management advisory.
• Create press releases, articles, social media updates and other content aligned with brand objectives.
• Manage external PR agencies to meet communications goals.
• Oversee intranet, corporate website and LinkedIn content and traffic.
• Lead crisis communication efforts, providing timely and accurate information.
• Engage internal business units and external clients to foster positive relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in external communications, preferably in a regional capacity.
• Proven track record in media relations and public‑relations agency management.
• Strong written and verbal communication, copy‑editing and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with senior‑stakeholder management experience.
• Knowledge of banking industry trends and emerging communication technologies is a plus.
