Visiting Professor – Game Design & Game Studies

About the role

The School of Art, Design and Media at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) seeks a distinguished scholar for a one‑year Visiting Associate Professor position in Video Game Design and/or Game Studies/Ludology. The role focuses on high‑quality teaching and mentorship of undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in game design, game studies, and ludology.
• Mentor student‑led projects from concept through to prototype and final delivery.
• Develop and update curricula that integrate industry‑standard practices and emerging technologies.
• Contribute to the academic community through scholarly output and creative practice.

Required profile

• Terminal MFA, PhD, or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Proven record of tertiary‑level teaching at the Associate Professor level or higher.
• International or national recognition in video game design, game studies, or related fields.
• Strong commitment to inclusive, diverse, and innovative education.
