Accountant – Corporate Finance (Asia)

About the role

IMG is a leading global sports marketing agency seeking an Accountant to support its Asia entities. The role involves managing month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closes under US GAAP and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month, quarter and year‑end close processes in line with US GAAP and corporate policies.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, coordinating with WNS for invoice processing, collections and credit control.
• Maintain vendor records, review weekly payment proposals and manage cash‑flow forecasting.
• Handle petty cash, event float requirements and general banking matters.
• Provide data to tax advisors for corporate tax returns and to external auditors for financial statement audits.
• Prepare and file quarterly GST returns and withholding tax returns as required.
• Support regulatory filing by assisting with XBRL data tagging and validation for ACRA.
• Uphold internal controls and perform ad‑hoc finance tasks.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIPFA, CPA or equivalent).
• Experience with legal, financial and tax regulations across South East Asia.
• Familiarity with US GAAP; big‑four experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, proactive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work flexibly across multiple countries and time zones.
