Actuarial Year-End Internship in Financial Services Assurance

About the role

This internship offers a hands‑on experience in PwC’s Financial Services Assurance practice, supporting audit engagements for life insurance clients during the year‑end period. You will work alongside senior actuaries and auditors, applying quantitative methods to real‑world financial reporting challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior team members with audit support tasks for life insurance clients.
• Perform data analysis and help prepare actuarial reports and cash‑flow models.
• Identify, investigate, and explain trends and patterns in actuarial data.
• Communicate technical findings in clear, concise language to team members and clients.

Required profile

• Academic background in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related quantitative discipline.
• Self‑driven learner with the ability to quickly adopt new tools and techniques.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Curiosity to explore data and articulate insights.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, including VBA programming.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as VBA, C++, Java or Python.
• Experience with analytical software like R or SAS.
