Chief Credit Officer - Private Bank

About the role

The Chief Credit Officer will lead the Private Bank credit risk function, shaping policy, overseeing approvals, and driving portfolio performance. This senior position reports to senior management and works closely with the Group’s risk committees.

Key responsibilities

• Design, execute, and communicate credit policies, approval processes, and portfolio analysis for the Private Banking segment.
• Provide strategic oversight to ensure credit approvals align with the bank’s risk appetite while supporting asset‑growth objectives.
• Analyze credit proposals and present recommendations to the Management Credit Committee and Credit Supervisory Committee.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines, including AML, CFT, and consumer‑fair‑treatment policies.
• Lead a high‑performing credit and collections team, driving succession planning, talent development, and professional growth.
• Maintain the integrity of regulatory and management reporting, and uphold a satisfactory audit rating.
• Develop and implement recovery plans for impaired loans and manage operational resilience, outsourcing risk, and business continuity.

Required profile

• University degree or professional qualification (e.g., Certified Risk Professional).
• More than 15 years of credit and business experience, with at least 5 years in senior management.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication abilities, capable of making tough decisions.
