Executive Director – Financial Sponsors Sales, Global Transaction Banking

About the role

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking is expanding its Financial Sponsors franchise across Asia Pacific. The Executive Director will lead the origination and development of Global Transaction Banking opportunities with financial sponsors and their portfolio companies throughout the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage strategic relationships with financial sponsors and their portfolio companies across Asia Pacific.
• Strengthen Santander’s market position and increase wallet share through proactive client engagement.
• Originate GTB opportunities across cash management, trade finance, working capital and structured solutions.
• Identify and execute opportunities arising from acquisitions, portfolio growth, refinancing and infrastructure investments.
• Partner with coverage and product teams to deliver integrated client solutions and drive revenue growth.
• Act as GTB Asia Pacific’s lead representative for the financial sponsors sector, providing market insights and contributing to sector strategy.
• Foster collaboration with regional and global stakeholders to enhance client outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of relevant banking experience.
• Strong knowledge of technology and power & energy sub‑sectors, with established credibility among global financial sponsors.
• Proven ability to originate and execute complex transactions.
• Established relationships with senior decision‑makers at financial sponsors and portfolio companies.
• Infrastructure and project finance knowledge is highly preferred.
