Finance Analyst - Capital Reporting (Bank, Contract)

About the role

The Finance Analyst will support the implementation, maintenance and enhancement of the Cost of Capital (CoC) methodology and framework for a leading bank. This contract role involves analysing capital, risk‑weighted assets and profitability data, as well as automating data flows into the EBP platform.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation, maintenance and enhancement of the Cost of Capital methodology and framework.
• Perform analysis on capital, Risk‑Weighted Assets (RWA), leverage exposure and profitability data used for CoC calculations.
• Support impact assessments arising from regulatory, methodology and business changes.
• Automate and integrate financial and risk data from source systems into the EBP platform.
• Perform data mapping, reconciliation and validation between source systems and EBP.
• Collaborate with IT and Data Hub teams to establish scalable solutions and resolve data quality issues.
• Prepare test scenarios, execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and document results.
• Investigate data discrepancies identified during testing and propose solutions.
• Support production deployment activities and post‑implementation validation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Business, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience in finance, banking, regulatory reporting or project support functions.
• Familiarity with MAS Notice 637 and Basel III reforms.
• Understanding of capital management, RWA, leverage ratio and profitability is an advantage.
• Experience writing user stories with acceptance criteria and using JIRA is a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Independent, self‑motivated and able to work under tight deadlines.
