Finance Consultant – Record to Report (6‑month contract)

About the role

The R2R (record to report / general ledger) Consultant is responsible for ensuring the precise and timely completion of month‑end closing and financial reporting to management. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of accounting processes, inter‑company activities, and compliance with statutory and internal regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely, accurate month‑end closing, management and financial reporting.
• Handle various accounting processes and tasks including receipts and payments interface reconciliation, General Ledger (GL), and other key reconciliations.
• Coordinate and liaise with internal parties and the firm’s network to support intercompany activities.
• Coordinate and liaise with external parties such as external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, and local government authorities as required.
• Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirements (GST), audits, procedures, and forms both statutory and internal.
• Assist in the redesign of current processes projects to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Perform other related ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of month‑end closing processes and preparation of financial statements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well with people across different backgrounds.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and good command in English, both written and oral.
• Good sense of logic and analytical thinking.
• Agile and open to dynamic working environment.
• Ability to ensure compliance with statutory and internal regulations.
• Experience in liaising with external auditors, tax agents, and government authorities.
• Capability to assist in new process and system implementations.
