Junior Legal Counsel / Legal Executive

About the role

The Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN) seeks a commercially‑minded Junior Legal Counsel or Legal Executive to support its fast‑growing, innovation‑focused environment. You will combine legal advisory work with operational insight, helping the organisation navigate commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, data protection and corporate governance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal research on corporate, commercial and regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions and prepare memos for senior legal review.
• Assist in reviewing, summarising and marking‑up commercial agreements such as NDAs, vendor contracts and MOUs.
• Support drafting of standard agreements, addenda and manage contract lifecycle activities.
• Help the Head of Legal and Data Protection Officer with PDPA and cross‑jurisdiction data‑protection compliance initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain statutory documentation, support governance policy execution and internal policy updates.
• Maintain legal document repositories, version control and provide general legal and administrative support.

Required profile

• Qualified to practise in a recognised Commonwealth jurisdiction with 2–4 years post‑qualification experience, OR 4–5 years as a paralegal/legal executive in Singapore with relevant qualifications.
• Experience in corporate and commercial law is essential.
• Preferably has cross‑border experience in a reputable law firm or in‑house legal department.
• Exposure to data protection, compliance, technology, fintech or regional legal matters is an advantage.
