Legal Counsel – Corporate & Commercial (Manufacturing)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join a Singapore‑headquartered multinational group. The role provides exposure to a wide range of corporate, transactional and commercial matters within a fast‑moving, international manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Advise the business on corporate, commercial and transactional matters across Singapore and other markets.
• Support corporate transactions such as acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, restructurings and strategic projects.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements including supply, procurement, services, manufacturing, technology and confidentiality contracts.
• Provide legal support for corporate governance, subsidiaries and overseas operations.
• Partner with business leaders and corporate functions on new projects and commercial initiatives.
• Identify legal and contractual risks and deliver pragmatic, commercially‑focused solutions.
• Coordinate with external counsel and overseas legal advisers as required.
• Develop and implement internal legal policies, templates and processes.
• Assist with other legal and strategic projects undertaken by the Group.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with at least 4 years of post‑qualification experience (strong candidates with fewer years are welcome).
• Experience in a reputable law firm and/or an established in‑house legal team.
• Corporate background with exposure to M&A, joint ventures, corporate advisory or investments.
• Comfortable reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts and advising business stakeholders directly.
• Strong drafting, analytical and communication abilities.
• Commercially minded, pragmatic and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently while collaborating across functions and jurisdictions.
