Nurse Educator – Hospital Training & Education

About the role

The Hospital seeks a Nurse Educator to design, implement and manage a comprehensive education programme that advances nursing practice and secures required accreditations. You will work closely with nursing leadership to ensure high‑quality training, research integration and compliance with clinical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement hospital‑based education programmes, including accreditation processes.
• Conduct training needs analyses to identify skills and knowledge gaps.
• Plan, develop, coordinate and evaluate orientation and in‑house training sessions.
• Source external learning opportunities and organise conferences, seminars and workshops.
• Guide clinical instructors and pre‑ceptors on student and staff competency matters.
• Support the Nurse Manager in incident investigations, compliance monitoring and emergency patient care.
• Supervise nurses at all grades, identify competency deficits and assess skill competency.
• Coordinate advanced staff development programmes and optimise the training budget.
• Market training programmes to external organisations and manage clinical placements for nursing students.
• Serve as a role model for clinical practice, develop audit tools and uphold nursing standards.
• Strengthen links between clinical nursing and research, review research articles and promote research participation.
• Assist in preparing and obtaining accreditation and contribute to departmental strategic planning.

Required profile

• Degree in Nursing or a post‑basic qualification in Education/Clinical Specialty.
• Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board.
• WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP).
• Minimum of 7 years of clinical nursing experience.
