Regional Legal Counsel, Asia Pacific

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, commercially‑minded Regional Legal Counsel for the Asia Pacific region (excluding China and India). Based in Singapore or Malaysia, you will act as the senior legal advisor, partnering with regional and country management to support business growth while managing legal, commercial and ethical risks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the legal agenda for Asia Pacific and handle commercial and operational legal matters across South‑East Asia.
• Serve as an active member of the South‑East Asia Management Team, translating business priorities into a clear regional legal strategy.
• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements such as customer, supplier, distributor, service, project and partnership contracts.
• Advise management on corporate governance and compliance issues, including anti‑bribery, anti‑corruption, export control and sanctions.
• Develop and continuously improve legal policies, contract templates and supporting tools for the region.
• Build legal and compliance capability through training, communication and knowledge sharing.
• Manage disputes, claims, investigations and litigation, coordinating external counsel as needed.
