Research Fellow – Heat and Health

About the role
The Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Health (CCEH) at NTU is seeking a Research Fellow to investigate the health impacts of heat exposure and temperature extremes. The role involves analysing climate, environmental, health and socioeconomic data to generate evidence for public‑health policy and climate‑adaptation strategies across Singapore and Asia.
Key responsibilities
- Support research projects on heat‑related health outcomes, vulnerability and societal impacts.
- Analyse and interpret large climate, environmental and health datasets using statistical and spatiotemporal methods.
- Contribute to scientific publications, reports and policy briefs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners within CCEH and external research institutions.
- Assist in preparing data visualisations and modelling outputs for stakeholder communication.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in atmospheric science, climate science, environmental health, public health, epidemiology, geography or a related discipline.
- Research experience in climate change, heat exposure or temperature‑related health impacts.
- Strong academic writing skills and a record of scientific publications.
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities; capable of independent and team‑based work.
