Safety Officer – Workplace Safety & Health

About the role

The Safety Officer will lead the implementation and monitoring of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) management for electrical, mechanical and building maintenance projects, ensuring full compliance with Singapore regulations and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the WSH Management System and project safety plans to meet regulatory and client standards.
• Review risk assessments, safe work procedures and method statements to control workplace hazards.
• Conduct routine site inspections and follow up on corrective actions.
• Administer Permit‑to‑Work systems for hazardous activities.
• Monitor electrical, mechanical and building maintenance safety practices, including LOTO, work‑at‑height and confined‑space controls.
• Deliver safety inductions and toolbox talks to communicate protocols.
• Investigate incidents, recommend corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate WSH documentation, reports and support audit inspections.

Required profile

• MOM Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) certification.
• Strong knowledge of the Singapore WSH Act, risk assessment, Permit‑to‑Work, Lockout‑Tagout, work‑at‑height and confined‑space regulations.
• Leadership and communication abilities to guide site teams and contractors.
