Senior Assistant Director, Community Engagement and Partnerships

About the role

The Asian School of the Environment (ASE) and the Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS) at Nanyang Technological University are seeking a Senior Assistant Director to lead community engagement, communications, education‑marketing and partnership functions. This senior position will shape strategy, restructure the newly merged office and drive the institution’s public impact on environmental sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a five‑year strategy for communications, events, education marketing and partnerships.
• Lead the restructuring of the Community Engagement and Partnerships office, overseeing three sub‑functions and their leads.
• Expand the office’s reach to support EOS and ASE growth, enhancing reputation and national impact.
• Manage integrated communications, including social media, press relations and media training.
• Craft strategic storytelling and reputation management for policymakers, funders, media and the public.
• Own brand and messaging frameworks, set editorial and visual standards, and advise on crisis communications.
• Monitor performance through analytics, reporting insights to refine strategy and demonstrate impact.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading communications, branding or partnership functions at a senior level.
