Senior Legal Counsel – Commercial Legal (APAC)

About the role

Remote is looking for a senior commercial lawyer to join its Legal team as the primary legal partner for APAC sales. The role focuses on delivering pragmatic, innovative legal solutions for Remote’s products while protecting the company from risk. This is an individual contributor position with no managerial responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Terms of Service negotiations, contract redlining, and commercial agreement reviews for APAC sales opportunities.
• Act as the main legal point of contact for APAC sales teams, guiding deals from qualified opportunity to signed contract.
• Provide support to other regions when capacity allows, collaborating with regional counsel for seamless global coverage.
• Handle live negotiations with opposing counsel, customer‑paper deals, and novel risk‑allocation scenarios that require judgment.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in commercial transactions, especially enterprise‑level SaaS agreements and sales contract reviews.
• Experience supporting sales teams across APAC jurisdictions.
• Qualified to practice law in an APAC jurisdiction.
• Fluent English for negotiations and internal collaboration; additional APAC languages are a plus.
