Senior Staff Nurse – Intensive Care Unit

About the role

The Senior Staff Nurse will deliver specialised care to critically ill patients in high‑dependency and intensive‑care settings. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence‑based management of ventilation and haemodynamic support.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and interpret clinical, laboratory and diagnostic data.
• Manage, troubleshoot and maintain haemodynamic and other critical‑care monitoring devices.
• Administer and monitor oxygen, medical gas therapy, humidification and aerosol treatments.
• Handle airway devices, including endotracheal and tracheostomy tubes, and support invasive and non‑invasive mechanical ventilation.
• Recognise and promptly escalate life‑threatening respiratory conditions.
• Assist with bronchoscopy procedures when required.
• Provide safe intra‑hospital transport for critically ill patients, maintaining cardiopulmonary support throughout.

Required profile

• Registration with the Singapore Nursing Board (mandatory).
• Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Critical Care) – preferred.
• Minimum 3 years experience in HD or ICU settings.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication and critical‑thinking abilities.
