Pharmacy Technician

About the role

The Pharmacy Technician will work under the supervision of pharmacists to ensure safe, efficient, and timely distribution of medicines. This role supports the pharmacy team in daily operations, customer service, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical duties such as dispensing medicines, processing medication orders, and labeling according to SOPs.
• Assist the pharmacist in supervising support staff and coordinating workflow.
• Carry out medication reconciliation steps, including counting, sorting, and typing prescriptions.
• Provide billing functions and professional customer service to patients.
• Manage inventory, enforce FIFO storage, conduct cycle counts, and ensure compliance with medication safety practices.
• Participate in quality improvement projects as required.

Required profile

• Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPTC) or a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science, or a foreign pharmacy degree.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively.
• Team‑player mindset with flexibility to work occasional weekends or public holidays.
• Only Singapore citizens or permanent residents may apply.
