QC Supervisor (Microbiology)

About the role

We are looking for a QC Supervisor (Microbiology) to lead the microbiology section of our quality control laboratory in Jurong. The role ensures that all microbiological testing is performed in compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the microbiology QC laboratory and ensure adherence to scheduled plans.
• Maintain laboratory compliance with GMP, internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements.
• Implement and use validated analytical methods; execute method validation and transfer protocols.
• Manage, train and mentor laboratory staff, ensuring they follow best practices and safety guidelines.
• Maintain the lab qualification matrix and ensure staff are qualified to perform testing.
• Conduct routine shop‑floor inspections to identify improvement opportunities.
• Review and approve test results and reports, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Maintain equipment through qualification, calibration and preventive maintenance programs.
• Lead sample management from receipt to dispatch, including stability and retention sample handling.
• Coordinate external and cross‑site testing activities and manage reference standards and reagents.
• Investigate QC events, implement corrective actions and support CAPA processes.
• Provide support during regulatory inspections and audits, presenting stability programs and related records.

Required profile

• Proven experience overseeing daily operations of a microbiology quality control laboratory.
• Strong knowledge of GMP regulations and internal quality control processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop laboratory personnel.
• Experience with method validation, equipment qualification and sample lifecycle management.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to handle regulatory inspections.
