Print Sustainability Leader, Imaging & Printing Solutions

About the role

HP's Print & Imaging business is looking for a Director to own the vision, strategy and execution of sustainability as a competitive differentiator across the global Print & Imaging business. Based in Singapore at HP's Sustainability Center of Excellence, the role drives the shift from static, compliance-driven reporting to an AI-enabled model of real-time optimisation across the print product lifecycle, and establishes Singapore as HP's global hub for sustainability innovation in Print. It reports to the President of CPSS and oversees a team of 10+ across strategy, competitive intelligence and program management.

Key responsibilities

• Define the multi-year sustainability vision for Print, set workstreams and MBOs, and ensure product and go-to-market decisions are informed by carbon, circularity and competitive data.
• Oversee the Print Sustainability Center of Excellence in Singapore, including the Competitive Intelligence and Product Teardowns lab, and benchmark against Epson, Canon, Brother and others.
• Feed Print-specific carbon, circularity and competitive data into GPC&SI's enterprise reporting, and align Print's disclosures with HP's 2030 Sustainable Impact Goals and 2040 Net Zero ambition.
• Partner with GPC&SI on regulatory readiness (Ecodesign, energy labeling, extended producer responsibility) and market access.
• Migrate sustainability reporting to a federated data lake, champion HP PowerSmart and Print Energy Intelligence, and enable automated Lifecycle Analysis.
• Lead the shift to "as-a-service" models, including SMB Managed Print Services, hardware renewal programs and AI-personalised take-back and trade-in programs.
• Build and lead the Singapore COE, including a modular pod structure by customer segment, an Agentic Automation Hub and a compliance automation capability.
• Work with R&D, Supply Chain and Marketing to embed sustainability requirements early, and deliver executive briefings and represent the function internally and externally.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in sustainability, ESG, environmental strategy or related fields, with exposure to hardware, consumer electronics or manufacturing; print/imaging experience a strong plus.
• 5+ years of people leadership at exec level, including managing managers and/or distributed global teams.
• Track record of building or scaling a sustainability function, center of excellence or similar strategic program from the ground up.
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business or related field; advanced degree preferred.

Required skills

• Experience partnering with or overseeing competitive intelligence, product benchmarking or technical analysis functions.
• Familiarity with lifecycle assessment (LCA), carbon accounting, circular economy and "as-a-service" models.
• Understanding of how AI/ML and automation apply to sustainability data (federated data lakes, automated LCA, predictive asset health monitoring).
• Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, storytelling and stakeholder management.
