Senior Associate - M&A Advisory

About the role

EY-Parthenon's M&A Advisory team, licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore as a capital markets services provider since 2001, advises CEOs, boards, private equity and governments on mergers and acquisitions, fund-raising, capital markets and regulatory compliance. This Senior Associate position sits in the corporate finance team covering South East Asia, working with regional and multinational clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior executives in M&A deal generation, execution and project management
• Independently prepare financial models, analysis, proposals, marketing documents, teasers and information memoranda for M&A and corporate finance transactions
• Produce high-quality professional documents for clients
• Maintain client confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Build your own business network to grow your origination capabilities over the medium term

Required profile

• Recognised Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accountancy or Banking
• Minimum 3 years of relevant corporate finance experience in an investment bank, corporate finance firm or boutique firm
• Ideally transaction experience and some client-facing experience from a professional services background
• Track record of work on both buy-side and sell-side, as well as finance raising
• High degree of personal drive and motivation to succeed

Required skills

• Strong financial modelling skills based on a good understanding of financial statements
• Company valuation using DCF, precedent transactions and traded comparables
• Ability to produce high-quality professional documents for clients and internal use
• Sound commercial judgment and creative problem-solving
