Quality Control Associate, Asset Wealth Management Operations

About the role

JPMorgan Chase is hiring a Quality Control Associate for its Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) Operations team in Singapore. The role supports client onboarding across the Wealth Management division, ensuring KYC records meet regulatory standards and due diligence is completed quickly and accurately. It acts as the first line of defence against AML risk, working closely with compliance and control functions.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse client KYC information to assess AML and reputation risk during onboarding and periodic reviews
• Validate source of wealth corroboration in line with firm guidelines
• Analyse complex account opening situations to identify potential issues
• Review client documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with compliance and control functions on regulatory audits, requests and initiatives
• Participate in KYC/AML discussions, committees and forums, and share knowledge with peers
• Conduct periodic training and awareness sessions for new hires and staff

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience in private banking risk management, audit or compliance, focused on KYC/AML
• Background in internal or regulatory audit with KYC/AML specialisation
• Strong understanding of the wealth management business
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment and to handle escalations
• Proficiency in written and spoken Mandarin, as the role involves communication with stakeholders in China and interpretation of local documents

Required skills

• Broad knowledge of rules and regulations for Asian jurisdictions, especially Hong Kong and Singapore, with a focus on KYC/AML
• Detail-oriented, able to analyse issues holistically and independently
• Preferred: developing experience with AI-powered analytics, workflow automation or intelligent process tools
