Assistant Accountant (8 Months Maternity Cover)

About the role

Airbus Helicopters Southeast Asia is hiring an Assistant Accountant in Singapore for an 8-month fixed-term maternity cover. The role covers daily accounts receivable and payable operations, vendor reconciliation, GST filing support and internal controls, within the Accounting job family.

Key responsibilities

• Accounts receivable: prepare daily finance duties including non-trade sales invoices, take in receipts and send statements of account, and prepare the Customer Advanced Payment Schedule
• Accounts payable: three-way match supplier invoices before posting, ensure timely and accurate posting and on-time payments, and follow up with vendors to confirm bank details during bank mapping
• Vendor and intercompany reconciliation
• Taxation: contribute to the quarterly GST filing
• Internal controls: ensure compliance with internal controls and Airbus Finance directives, and support internal control self-assessment (ICSA) and FitChecks
• Other: support the company's digital transformation (e.g. ERP migration, digital tools), help retrieve documents for internal and external audits, and carry out ad-hoc duties as assigned

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Accountancy or ACCA with experience in financial accounting
• At least 1 year of relevant experience
• Knowledge of taxation (GST, company income tax, withholding tax)
• Good interpersonal skills, organized and meticulous, self-driven and willing to support change
• Awareness of compliance risks and a commitment to integrity

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP and Google Workspace applications is advantageous
