Accounting Officer – Full‑Cycle Accounting & MYOB Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Officer to manage end‑to‑end accounting functions for our Singapore operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full spectrum of finance activities, ensuring accurate records, timely reporting and compliance with statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Handle full spectrum of accounting functions including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL).
• Manage and maintain the MYOB accounting system and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
• Perform month‑end closing, account reconciliations and prepare management accounts.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual group reporting requirements.
• Prepare financial, cash‑flow, budgeting and business analysis reports.
• Ensure timely preparation of payment vouchers, invoices, debit and credit notes.
• Monitor AR balances and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Process supplier and vendor payments and address related queries.
• Reconcile inter‑company transactions and post appropriate accounting entries.
• Prepare GST submissions, corporate tax schedules and other statutory filings.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks and directors on audit, taxation and compliance matters.
• Review and supervise journal entries for bad debts and maintain proper documentation.
• Update chart of accounts as required and manage petty cash with strong internal controls.
• Monitor project profitability, validate accruals and maintain organized accounting records.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and support ad‑hoc reporting and analysis.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accountancy, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience in Singapore.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting and internal controls.
• Proficient in MYOB and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiar with GST, corporate tax and statutory compliance requirements.
• Analytical, meticulous, detail‑oriented and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Self‑motivated team player with high integrity and sense of responsibility.
