ACMV Electrical Engineer – Singapore

About the role

The client is a leading air‑conditioning and mechanical ventilation (ACMV) provider seeking a competent Electrical Engineer to join their Singapore team. You will be responsible for reviewing drawings, inspecting installations, and ensuring all electrical works meet project specifications and Singapore standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review electrical drawings, control schematics and ACMV specifications.
• Inspect electrical installations for AHUs, FCHs, MV fans, pumps and associated equipment.
• Verify power supply, cable termination, earthing and motor control panels (MCC/DB).
• Conduct pre‑commissioning tests such as insulation resistance, continuity and phase rotation.
• Test starters, VSDs, control panels, protective devices and perform functional testing of motors and safety interlocks.
• Coordinate point‑to‑point testing between field devices, control panels and the BMS.
• Troubleshoot electrical and control issues during commissioning and prepare test records, commissioning reports and as‑built documentation.
• Attend inspections, witness testing with consultants and clients, and support system handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in ACMV or building electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore building electrical design requirements and local code of practice.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations, design reviews and read electrical drawings.
• Self‑driven, independent and a good team player.
