Area Sales Manager

About the role

UPS is looking for an Area Sales Manager to supervise its field sales team and build long-term client relationships. The role uses creativity and thorough knowledge of sales processes to propose innovative ideas for business growth, while ensuring the area meets and exceeds business objectives. It is a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Engage and lead the field sales team, providing leadership in maximising sales and market share growth
• Deliver mentoring and coaching alongside substantial sales experience as a key account manager
• Lead the team to deliver strong new business development and retention, meeting and exceeding sales targets and key financial measures
• Manage the day-to-day activities and duties of the sales team

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in any discipline
• At least 5 years of sales experience in the logistics industry
• Proven track record of 3 years of successful people management
• Experience in courier service and small-package services is preferred
• Strong customer base and a "hunter" personality
