Assistant Director, Faculty Engagement & Value Propositions

About the role

The NTU University Advancement Office (UAO) supports the university's giving mission by building relationships and partnerships with philanthropists, alumni, business partners, corporations, foundations and friends. This Assistant Director position builds donor-centred propositions and strengthens the fundraising capability of faculty and units to advance the philanthropic cause of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong working relationships with faculty colleagues to develop new funding propositions for the Colleges and Schools.
• Align faculty funding needs and offerings with the interests of prospective donors to create new gift opportunities.
• Support faculty in managing conversations about new gifts with internal stakeholders and prospective donors.
• Create proposals and donor-centred collateral for donor engagement.
• Support Senior Leadership on gift cases and provide administrative and operational support for advancing gifts where required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• At least 8 years of progressive experience in business development and/or marketing roles engaging senior stakeholders.
• Experience in higher education or business development is an added advantage.
• Candidates with less experience may be considered for the Manager level.

Required skills

• Proficiency in relationship management, editorial writing, presentation and product packaging.
• Ability to turn technical innovations into go-to-market messages.
• Strong track record of independently managing complex stakeholder engagements.
• Discretion, tact, maturity and independent judgment with confidential information.
