Associate Consultant – Menopause Care (Family/Internal Medicine)

About the role

The Associate Consultant will join the SWANS Menopause Centre of Excellence to provide specialised, holistic care for midlife women navigating the menopausal transition. Working within the Division of Benign Gynaecology, the role integrates clinical expertise with multidisciplinary collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive outpatient care for menopausal symptoms, weight management, hyperlipidaemia, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, osteoporosis and related chronic conditions.
• Lead multidisciplinary consultations and quality‑improvement initiatives to uphold the Centre’s national standards.
• Collaborate closely with gynaecologists, mental‑health specialists, family physicians, exercise physiotherapists and dietitians to ensure patient‑centred care.
• Consult the Head of Division or Programme Lead on complex cases, including iatrogenic or cancer‑related menopause.
• Participate in teaching, mentorship and research activities, supporting junior staff and contributing to programme development.

Required profile

• Medical specialist qualification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or an equivalent recognised specialty.
• Current knowledge of menopausal hormone therapy and evidence‑based interventions for menopausal women.
• Commitment to NUHS TRICEP values and demonstrated leadership competencies.

Required skills

• Expertise in menopausal hormone therapy and related clinical management.
