Business Analyst – Credit Collections (Contract)

About the role

This 6‑month contract position supports a leading bank in upgrading its collections system. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that functional and regulatory requirements are met while enhancing the customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business requirements for the collections system upgrade, translating them into functional and non‑functional specifications, user stories, process flows and use cases.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align deliverables with strategic objectives, timelines and cost estimates.
• Serve as the subject‑matter expert for consumer credit, providing guidance on loan management and debt‑collection processes.
• Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, update the work‑book status and assist in troubleshooting issues.
• Highlight potential customer impact of system enhancements and ensure mitigation of related risks.
• Support the creation of test scripts, coordinate testing activities and verify that all business requirements are satisfied.

Required profile

• Basic degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field.
• Knowledge of collection and recovery processes, loan management or debt‑collection systems.
• Experience with SDLC methodologies (Agile or Waterfall), testing and project management.

Required skills

• Strong command of SQL for database querying.
• Proficiency with analytical tools such as SAS, R or Python.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
