Business Analyst Intern

About the role

This internship is with Johnson Controls, a global leader in thermal management, building systems, energy efficiency and decarbonization. It reports to the Director, Service Operational Excellence, APAC, and involves monitoring, analysing and communicating KPIs for Service Operations to stakeholders across APAC, and providing analysis to define standard work (scope, sequence and timing) and identify areas for continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Support continuous improvement and co-lead Kaizen projects affecting business transactions and field service operations in the APAC Services business
• Create process maps to visualize work processes and spot improvement opportunities
• Collect and analyse data using statistical and data management techniques
• Propose and implement Lean solutions with affected teams
• Monitor and analyse KPIs, including monthly reporting of enterprise Service Operations KPIs to cross-functional stakeholders in APAC
• Benchmark across APAC to identify best-in-class practices and improvement areas in each country or market

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or data science and analytics
• Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good learning attitude to build business acumen and understanding of organizational issues

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of and interest in PowerBI and coding preferred
