Capital Engineer - Global FE PLN Capital

About the role

Micron's Capital Engineer contributes to Global FE Capital Management by strengthening capital planning and management processes, ensuring compliance and operational excellence, implementing AI and automation solutions, and delivering insights through analytics and performance reporting. The role works closely with Site Planning teams, Finance, Procurement, Facilities and digital stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Drive governance and compliance for Global Frontend capital management, set process standards and controls, track metrics and prepare governance dashboards and compliance reports.
• Lead continuous improvement of the capital lifecycle (forecasting, reporting, funding, savings management) and develop process documentation and user guides.
• Develop transformation initiatives using AI, analytics, automation and digital solutions, partnering with SMAI and business stakeholders and tracking business value.
• Lead multi-functional programs, manage project governance, milestones, risks and facilitation of workshops and reviews.
• Partner with Site Planning, Central Planning, Finance, Procurement and Facilities, and develop dashboards and reports on capital performance and compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business/Data Analytics, Operations Management, Information Systems or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in program management, business process management, operations excellence, capital planning, manufacturing operations or transformation initiatives.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional programs and influencing without direct authority in a matrixed global organization.
• Preferred: semiconductor manufacturing, CAPEX management, supply chain, finance or operations experience, and PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Agile or Scrum certification.

Required skills

• Knowledge of governance frameworks, process management and compliance controls.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, SAP and AI-enabled tools such as Copilot and Claude.
• Knowledge of AI, automation, machine learning, process mining or advanced analytics.
• Experience with KPI frameworks, dashboards, large datasets and business intelligence tools.
