Communications Manager (Internal Communications)

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is looking for an experienced communications professional to lead its employee engagement strategy in Singapore. While Internal Communications is the primary focus, the role also provides strategic communications support across the Communications & Public Affairs team, including leadership communications, external communications, media relations, public affairs, events and corporate initiatives. It sits within a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop content that helps employees understand business strategy, priorities and culture, and manage internal channels such as email, intranet, meetings and digital platforms
• Execute the regional internal communications strategy and create employee stories and content
• Partner with HR on employer branding campaigns and ensure consistent messaging, brand alignment and tone of voice
• Analyse engagement metrics and gather employee feedback to improve communications
• Advise senior leaders, write executive messages, talking points, presentations and town hall content, and help leaders communicate complex or sensitive topics
• Support leadership engagement activities and events, and plan and run corporate events and industry engagements
• Support external communications, PR and social media, and help produce briefing materials, Q&As and presentations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field
• At least 8 years of experience in internal or corporate communications
• Experience supporting executive communications and community management
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and stakeholder collaboration skills

Required skills

• Video editing, photography and visual communication (a plus)
• Comfortable moving between strategy and execution in a matrixed team
