Corporate Finance Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a highly effective Accountant to join the Corporate Finance team supporting NTUC’s employment and employability sub‑department. Reporting to the Deputy Director, you will ensure smooth day‑to‑day finance operations and timely month‑end and year‑end closings.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate General Ledger accounts, review journals, accruals, provisions and reclassifications.
• Execute month‑end, quarter‑end and financial year‑end closing activities in line with accounting standards and internal timelines.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations, monitor cash movements and manage bank mandates and related documentation.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports, presentation slides for Management and Board, including variance analysis.
• Support GST and corporate tax compliance, maintain schedules, reconciliations and liaise with tax agents and auditors.
• Independently coordinate statutory audits and respond to internal and external audit requests.

Required profile

• Experience in corporate finance accounting functions.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and maintain strong documentation and audit trails.
• Effective communication with banks, tax agents and internal stakeholders.
