Data Center Site Lead

About the role

The Data Center Site Lead will oversee the operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems within a critical data centre environment in Singapore. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure equipment reliability, compliance and optimal performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage preventive and reactive maintenance programmes for mechanical and electrical assets.
• Monitor facility performance, uptime and operational KPIs.
• Lead site engineering operations, coordinating technicians and contractors.
• Plan and execute maintenance activities to minimise disruptions.
• Supervise subcontractors and specialist vendors to ensure safety, timeliness and standards.
• Conduct equipment condition reviews and risk assessments.
• Coordinate remedial actions during failures and critical incidents.
• Act as escalation point for technical issues and support troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, asset data and technical documentation.
• Support statutory inspections, certifications and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare operational reports for management and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities or Operations Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience operating mechanical/electrical systems in a Tier III or equivalent data centre.
• Proven experience managing contractors, vendors and maintenance teams.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good understanding of safety, statutory and operational compliance.
