Deputy / Assistant Manager, Rail Licensing

About the role

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is seeking a Deputy / Assistant Manager for its Rail Licensing Division. You will help ensure the reliability and performance of Singapore's Rapid Transit System (RTS) network by supporting the administration of grants for the RTS and taking part in public transport initiatives. Strong organisational, time management and communication skills are needed.

Key responsibilities

• Verify grant claims submitted by Public Transport Operators (PTOs)
• Assess submissions independently to validate their accuracy
• Investigate the causes of rail service delays using rail system data
• Audit PTOs' documented and certified processes for collecting performance data and review controls at critical points to strengthen grant governance
• Review and improve internal processes, procedures and systems to make grant administration more efficient
• Prepare and give periodic updates to LTA senior management on grant matters

Required profile

• Knowledge of engineering
• Experience in grant administration, auditing or a related field is advantageous
• Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills
• Meticulous, self-motivated and a strong team player
• Strong time management, able to work under tight deadlines
• Candidates with no prior work experience may also be considered

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
• Data analytics and visualisation skills are advantageous
