Director, Health & Safety APEC

About the role

As the Director, Health & Safety APEC for DHL Express Singapore, you will lead the regional Safety First strategy across Asia‑Pacific (excluding China). You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust safety management system that aligns with ISO 45001 and the global safety policy, ensuring a strong safety culture and compliance with legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the regional safety management system and Global Safety Policy in line with the Safety First Framework and ISO 45001.
• Design, launch and communicate safety programmes and training across the APEC region.
• Represent the region on the Global Safety Steering Committee and collaborate with global peers.
• Lead major incident investigations and support country‑level safety representatives.
• Oversee regional safety audits, risk‑assessment programmes and performance‑indicator development.
• Implement online safety platforms to monitor and manage risks.
• Maintain a regional safety committee, communication structure and ensure continuous measurement of the Safety First Framework.
• Liaise with customers on safety‑related issues when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Health & Safety, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
• Proven ability to influence and embed a safety‑first culture across multiple countries.
• Strong knowledge of regional legislation and ISO 45001 standards.
