Director, Scientific & Regulatory Affairs – ANZ & Base Markets

About the role

The Director of Scientific and Regulatory Affairs will lead the regulatory strategy for Base & Balance markets across ANZ, Pacific Islands and PNG. Reporting to the Senior Director, Science and Regulatory Affairs, this senior role ensures compliance and drives advocacy to enable product innovation and market growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute short‑, mid‑ and long‑term regulatory advocacy strategies across multiple geographies.
• Secure government approvals and align new ingredients, products, labels and packaging with international standards such as Codex.
• Identify, assess and mitigate regulatory risks, emerging trends and potential brand reputation impacts.
• Collaborate with Marketing, PACS, Legal and bottling partners to support timely product registrations and launches.
• Represent the company in industry organisations and regulatory forums.
• Lead complex cross‑functional projects and provide guidance to regional teams.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in scientific and regulatory affairs within the food & beverage sector.
• Proven ability to navigate diverse regulatory environments and stakeholder expectations.
• Strong strategic thinking with a track record of influencing policy and removing barriers.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of operating independently.
