Director / Senior Director of FP&A

About the role

Lumilens is seeking a senior finance leader to head its global FP&A function from Singapore. Reporting to the leadership team, you will partner with R&D and business heads to drive financial planning, investment evaluation, and strategic decision support for a fast‑growing photonics startup.

Key responsibilities

• Own the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts and monthly variance analysis for the assigned business unit.
• Partner with business leaders to enforce financial discipline, evaluate investments and monitor operational KPIs.
• Build driver‑based financial models covering revenue, gross margin, operating expenses and capital expenditures.
• Lead pricing analysis, product and customer profitability reviews, and unit‑economics assessments.
• Manage Singapore R&D expense planning, tracking and project‑level variance.
• Support local finance operations, including statutory compliance, audit, tax and transfer‑pricing matters.
• Prepare board reports, investor‑relations materials and earnings packages for a US listing.
• Conduct scenario planning, sensitivity analysis and strategic financial reviews for key decisions.
• Coach analysts, mentor junior staff and help build a strong finance organization in Singapore.

Required profile

• CPA, CFA or MBA required.
• 10–15 years of FP&A or strategic finance experience, preferably in technology or engineering environments.
• Proven ability to thrive in a startup setting, building processes from scratch.
• Strong business partnering and communication skills.
