Head of Finance

About the role

The Head of Finance leads the organisation's finance function, covering financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, treasury and business partnering. Working closely with the CFO, this role ensures robust financial governance, accurate reporting and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly and year‑end closing processes to deliver timely, accurate financial reports.
• Provide analysis and insights on financial performance, risks and management‑critical issues.
• Prepare financial updates for senior management, council, board and relevant committees.
• Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle, partnering with departments to validate assumptions, cost drivers and revenue projections.
• Monitor performance against budget, highlight variances, emerging trends and potential risks.
• Conduct scenario planning and financial modelling for new initiatives, investment proposals and strategic projects.
• Partner with business units to support strategic decision‑making, performance management and resource allocation.
• Oversee financial reporting and compliance for overseas representative offices, ensuring timely submissions and adherence to local regulations.
• Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks and finance processes; lead internal and external audit engagements.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and treasury activities, including collections, payments and investment monitoring.
• Drive finance system optimisation, automation and data‑analytics initiatives, including dashboard development.
