eBeam Materials Manager

About the role

KLA makes inspection tools, metrology systems and process solutions for the electronics industry. This eBeam Materials Manager role sits within the Global Operations (GOPS) team, which covers manufacturing, supply chain, manufacturing engineering, installation and quality. The manager leads purchasing and planning of materials, tools and spare parts for several product families, and works with suppliers and subcontractors on cost, schedule and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage teams of managers, team leads, planners and buyers for purchasing of materials and planning of tools and spares / field repair units (FRU)
• Manage suppliers and subcontracts on cost, schedule and performance, including on-time delivery, capacity management, risk mitigation, ramp readiness and supply continuity
• Drive supplier scorecards (QBR) and inventory management initiatives such as DFT
• Take overall responsibility for the obsolete parts process and ensure minimal liability and waste
• Maintain BOM integrity and timely SAP parameter updates
• Develop and track cost savings, gross margin and lead time reduction initiatives
• Policies and procedures for purchasing and planning, and materials kept in stock at acceptable inventory levels
• Manage engineering changes and non-conforming parts so supply is not disrupted and scrap/rework is minimised
• Ensure business controls meet SOX, ISO, customer and regulatory requirements
• Lead projects such as product transfers, new product introductions, supplier integration and process improvements
• Coach and develop a high-performing team

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain
• At least 10 years of industry experience in purchasing or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in management
• Experience in a low-volume, high-mix equipment manufacturing environment is a plus

Required skills

• Proficiency in MRP systems; SAP experience is an added advantage
• In-depth knowledge of supply chain and inventory management systems
• Ability to drive process improvement in purchasing and planning
• Good people management, including coaching, talent development and succession planning
