Engineering Scheduler

About the role

Abbott Manufacturing Singapore (AMS) is looking for an Engineering Scheduler to schedule all maintenance activities in line with production requirements. The role ensures weekly schedules maximise resource use, minimise production interruptions and support safe, timely execution. The position is based in Tuas, Singapore, on a standard shift.

Key responsibilities

• Set up the yearly maintenance and projects plan, including the downtime budget, and align it with production
• Use the planned backlog from the Planner and the hours provided by Shift Supervisors to build the weekly schedule and adjust it as needed
• Discuss and align maintenance planning with operations at least once a week, freeze the weekly plan and communicate it to stakeholders
• Review adherence to the weekly plan with stakeholders and reschedule non-compliant work
• Ensure work order resource allocation in the MAXIMO system is accurate and act as the Maximo Super User for scheduling workflows and data accuracy
• Generate scheduling performance reports using Cognos Super User capabilities
• Keep equipment maintained with minimal impact on production uptime and collaborate across functions to optimise maintenance windows
• Track and report weekly and monthly maintenance planning metrics, and perform other duties as requested by the Head of Department
• Comply with GMPs, hygiene rules and sanitation standards

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of practical maintenance experience in a pharmaceutical, food or petrochemical plant, or equivalent education and experience
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or a diploma with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of project management skills; maintenance planning and execution experience is a plus
• Able to make fast decisions, work independently and communicate effectively at all levels
