Engineering Specialist – MDW Automation

About the role

The Engineering Specialist will support the MDW Automation Servo writer team in maintaining high equipment availability, reducing safety hazards, and driving cost‑saving initiatives. You will work in a clean‑room environment on a 12‑hour night shift, ensuring production lines run smoothly and product quality meets standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain robot uptime and implement safety‑hazard reduction projects.
• Support Maintenance and Manufacturing teams to keep production lines operating efficiently.
• Monitor product performance, 5S compliance, and monthly preventive maintenance schedules.
• Assist product engineers with engineering experiments and software evaluations.
• Track line issues, yield performance, and execute ad‑hoc tasks assigned by the manager.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Self‑motivated with a positive attitude and strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Team player comfortable working in a clean‑room environment.
• Willingness to work the night shift (7:30 pm – 7:45 am).

Required skills

• Robot maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of manufacturing equipment and preventive maintenance.
• Familiarity with 5S methodology and production line monitoring.
