Executive - Post-Burial & Cremation Operations

About the role

This executive position is in the Memorial Services and Operations Division of the Public Health Services and Capabilities Group. You will support the Post-Burial and Cremation Operations Section in providing after-death care services at the government cemetery and crematorium offices.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee private and government exhumations and ensure contractor compliance
• Prepare for exhumations: ground surveys, document verification, plot layout plans and validation of burial records
• Inspect the Choa Chu Kang (CCK) Cemetery and other closed cemetery and columbarium grounds
• Take part in Qing Ming, 7th month and other festival operations at the CCK Cemetery complex
• Handle public feedback and enquiries, including difficult cases
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor

Required profile

• Good administrative and communication skills; mature, independent, responsible and resourceful
• Physical stamina for daily field work in varying weather
• Willingness to work after office hours, on weekends and public holidays, and in after-death environments
• Self-driven, with a drive for continuous improvement
• Valid Class 3 driving licence to drive the department's vehicle for inspections
