Executive – Public, International and Alumni Relations (PIAR)

About the role

The National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore's national teacher education institute, is hiring an Executive for its Public, International and Alumni Relations (PIAR) department. The role supports institutional communications and stakeholder engagement across hospitality relations, media relations and integrated marketing, helping deliver meaningful guest experiences, strengthen NIE's public visibility and support branding and alumni initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Media relations: pitch story ideas to local and international media, respond to queries, issue media releases and coordinate interviews; track coverage, compile reports and analyse performance metrics.
• Hospitality relations: support official visits and the visitor experience at the NIE Visitors Learning Centre, and help organise graduation ceremonies, including guest coordination, video production and receptions.
• Integrated marketing and alumni relations: work with the social media team on accurate, current content, assist departments with branding and marketing (print, digital or motion production), prepare corporate reports for stakeholders, and support the alumni team in engagement strategies and programmes.

Required profile

• Polytechnic diploma in Business, Communications, Hospitality, Marketing or a related field.
• At least two years of working experience.
• Prior experience in hospitality management, marketing, media relations or event operations in an agency is an advantage.
• Interest in communications, hospitality, branding or alumni engagement.

Required skills

• Familiarity with digital tools, social media platforms and basic content development is essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, good organisational and project coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task under tight timelines.
