Financial Accountant – Multinational Company (Singapore)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our Finance team in Singapore. The role will handle end‑to‑end financial accounting, reporting and statutory compliance across multiple business entities within a multinational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and accounts.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, journal entries, accruals and general‑ledger maintenance.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and support external audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory requirements.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations and liaise with auditors, tax advisors and relevant stakeholders.
• Partner with business teams and Shared Service Centres to support finance operations and reporting.
• Participate in finance process improvements, system enhancements and transformation initiatives.
• Undertake ad‑hoc finance projects and provide accounting support to the business.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA or equivalent) is an advantage.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a multinational environment.
• Experience in full‑set accounting, financial reporting, statutory reporting and audit coordination.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and Shared Service Centre environments is preferred.
• Experience in energy, commodity trading, manufacturing or related industries is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
