General Manager, Tax

About the role

We are seeking a Global Tax Lead to provide corporate tax leadership for one or more of the company’s key business groups. Based in the group‑level corporate tax function, the role supports rapid international expansion, strategic partnerships and complex cross‑border operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement tax strategy for the assigned business group, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and governance.
• Guide regional tax teams on commercial decisions, expansion initiatives and cross‑border structuring to optimise the effective tax rate.
• Monitor macro‑economic, geopolitical and regulatory developments and advise the business on strategic responses.
• Oversee accurate and timely tax filings, declarations, provisioning and reporting across the group.
• Identify, assess and mitigate tax risks while maintaining strong internal controls.
• Provide strategic tax planning on transactions, operating structures and market entry strategies.
• Partner with finance, legal and commercial teams to deliver tax advisory support for expansions, partnerships and restructurings.
• Lead tax audits, manage engagements with service providers and tax authorities.
• Promote global tax best practices, drive process improvements and support capability development across corporate and regional teams.
• Lead, mentor and develop the business‑group tax team.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate and international tax, preferably within a fast‑growing multinational.
• Strategic foresight with the ability to anticipate macro‑economic and regulatory changes.
• Strong governance mindset and proven risk‑management capabilities.
• Leadership experience managing regional tax teams and driving cross‑functional collaboration.
