Head of Asia, Transaction Banking, Financial Institutions

About the role

ANZ is seeking a senior leader to head its Transaction Banking franchise for Financial Institutions across Asia. Reporting to the Global Head of Transaction Banking, Financial Institutions, the role will be based in Singapore (or Hong Kong) and will drive growth of Payments, Cash Management, Trade Finance and Clearing Services for banks, insurers, funds and diversified financials.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Asia‑wide strategy for Transaction Banking in the Financial Institutions segment.
• Lead and develop the regional sales team across key hubs, ensuring alignment with client priorities.
• Collaborate with Product, Digital, Technology, Operations, Risk and Finance to shape product offerings and investment decisions.
• Drive cross‑sell opportunities and innovative, client‑centric solutions to deepen relationships.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory changes and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in transaction banking, cash management or related financial services.
• Proven track record of leading large, geographically dispersed teams and delivering revenue growth.
• Strong understanding of the Asian financial institutions market, including banks, insurers, funds and diversified financials.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence internal and external partners.
