Head of Finance – Singapore

About the role

KBC Bank Singapore is seeking a highly motivated finance professional to lead its local finance function. Reporting to the International Head of Finance in London and the Regional General Manager locally, you will ensure statutory, tax and regulatory compliance while overseeing the Asia Accounts Payable hub.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file Singapore statutory financial statements and tax returns, including corporate tax and GST.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors on reporting matters and regulatory queries.
• Monitor changes in statutory, regulatory and tax requirements and implement necessary process updates.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the regional Accounts Payable hub, including hands‑on processing when needed.
• Maintain first‑line balance‑sheet ownership, ensuring accurate account balances and timely issue escalation.
• Document and maintain finance processes, supporting central budgeting and reporting cycles.
• Provide cross‑branch finance support within a virtual team structure.
• Lead and develop the local finance team.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in finance, accounting, tax and regulatory compliance within a banking environment.
• Comfortable working in a small, multifunctional finance team and handling a broad range of tasks.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to manage complex financial responsibilities.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with auditors, tax authorities and internal stakeholders.
